SIDAADIYA (සිදාදිය) Dawn/Dusk
The Pulse of the Urban
A dynamic portrayal of urban Sri Lankan life, set between the golden hues of dawn and the neon glow of dusk. With a comic-inspired aesthetic, it captures the bustling energy of Colombo. Fiery street food stalls sizzling with kottu and isso wade; the aroma mingling with the laughter spilling from humble local bars where arrack flows and baila plays. Tuk tuks zip through vibrant streets, weaving past buses bound for Galle and Sigiriya, while the iconic Lotus Tower stands tall over it all.
Multilingual signs reflect the island’s cultural diversity and lively streets filled with vendors and lovers celebrate the rhythm of Sri Lanka’s streets.
Sidaadiya isn’t just art! It’s the heartbeat of a nation, a wearable work of culture and energy woven into fabric.
Dawn is a lively street scene bathed in radiant yellow light, where warm tones and golden hues reflect the energy and movement of early morning.
Dusk is a lively street scene deepens into cooler purples and blues, with softened light and shadows capturing the calm, winding rhythm of evening.
